A New Podcast-The Next Chapter

As we wrap up the year, we’ve been looking ahead to 2026. Many of you followed us as we spent 4 years traveling full-time in our motorhome—a chapter of life we’ll never forget. It wasn’t our goal to shine a spotlight on our travels, but somehow it happened. We became part of a fast-growing movement—RVing. Covid accelerated RV sales, and suddenly thousands were hitting the road just like we did.

But what we discovered is that RV life isn’t always what social media makes it out to be. There were breakdowns, frustrations, and plenty of moments we had to problem-solve on the fly. That’s why we decided to share the real story—good and bad. With my radio background, that naturally led to our podcast, where we met incredible people and shared their stories too. After 111 episodes, our mission remains simple: shorten the learning curve for anyone who wants to travel this way.

We don’t endorse products, we simply share what works for us. We know this lifestyle isn’t for everyone—but anyone is welcome to follow along or travel with us vicariously. We’re grateful we’ve had the chance to do it, and even more grateful for your support.

So yes… we’re back! Podcasting again—just once a month or whenever we have something worth saying. Here’s our latest episode to bring you up to speed with where we’re headed next. Just click on the picture or here.

Wishing you all the best in the new year—may adventure find you wherever you are!

My wife, Patti, and I are gearing up for another adventure. After living and traveling full-time in our motorhome for four years, we took a break and settled back into a home. A condo turned out to be the perfect fit — it holds all our cherished possessions while still giving us an easy jumping-off point for future travels.

And it didn’t take long for the urge to hit the road to return. There’s a special feeling that comes with travel — the closest comparison is that “first day of vacation” excitement, when everything feels open, fresh, and full of possibility.

We love exploring America in a motorhome while towing a car. Our country offers a vast canvas of experiences, where every region tells its own story and invites you to create lifelong memories. And the convenience of traveling without passports, currency exchanges, or complicated logistics makes spontaneous trips even easier. From budget-friendly campsites to luxury resorts and hotels, there’s something for every traveler and every budget.

This kind of slow travel gives you an immersive perspective that flying simply can’t provide. And if you really want to get the most out of any destination, talk to the locals. Most people are friendly, helpful, and eager to share insights about their hometown — including hidden gems, great places to eat, and spots you’d never find in a brochure.

We’ll be at the Progressive Ohio RV Supershow January 7th through the 11th at the I-X Center in Cleveland. Come out and see the latest RVs — every type you can imagine, all under one roof and a comfortable 70-degree temperature. The RVs are presented by the Great Lakes Recreation Vehicle Association of Northern Ohio, and the show is completely family-friendly with plenty of vendors, food, and fun.

While you’re there, be sure to catch our show. We’ll be on stage at various times throughout each day with advice, tips, and brand-new videos, including RV Blunders. We’ll also reveal our adventure plans for 2026 — and unveil our new RV. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or just starting to think about the lifestyle, our presentation is one you won’t want to miss. It’s also your chance to ask us anything.

And we’ve got a special incentive for you: buy your tickets now and save $5 on each one through December 1st. Just use promo code SAVE5RVSHOW at ohiorvshow.com.

We can’t wait to meet you at the show!

A Great Adventure!

My wife Patti and I have been taking a break from traveling. We stay very active in the RV community by attending shows as well as hosting several of them. Our next one is January 7th to the 11th, 2026 at the IX-Center in Cleveland. We hope to see you at the Ohio RV Supershow! However, make no mistake, the road is calling us and we are making plans for a new adventure. We will keep you posted.

As I have said many times, there are countless ways to see the world, and my friend Paul Sandiford’s journey is one you won’t forget. We call him “Snake,” and for the past two years, he’s been exploring America in his own unique way. When we caught up in Cleveland, I had the chance to sit down with him and hear his remarkable story. Snake’s thoughtful research, sharp analysis, and keen eye for opportunity make his approach to travel both inspiring and practical. His motto says it all: “Time is ticking.” Life is short—make every day count. Here’s Snake’s story, enjoy and safe travels!

Our First 20 Podcasts Now Available on YouTube

When we started traveling full-time in our motorhome we did not do it with the intention of using any social media. To us it was a personal adventure that we both had needed for a long time. I had spent decades in radio and welcomed the privacy that traveling gave us. We were having the time of our lives visiting places. Then the reality of owning an RV and traveling hit us as we started to experience a few issues. While in South Dakota we received a recall notice from Ford that the rear axle of our brand new motorhome had to be rebuilt due to not enough axle fluid being put in during manufacturing. 16,000 vehicles were affected so getting an appointment to get it inspected became a big issue. After we worked around that, the refrigerator stopped working. At the time we were in Colorado and none of the service techs could figure it out. It was tough getting into any service department due to the demand of RV’s needing service. We found ways around that too. It wasn’t easy and it was not fun. But we got through it and at that point I decided that we needed to do podcasts about the reality of traveling in an RV. I wanted us to tell you the good, the bad and the ugly we encountered and how to solve the problems we had. We want to shorten your learning curve. Over the course of a couple of years we produced 111 podcasts. They are on every platform and even a Cleveland newspaper published them as well. We now are converting the podcasts into YouTube videos for your enjoyment. Here are the first 20 of them. Just click on the picture below to start your ride with us. Thank you very much for your support and remember we will always help you if you have any questions about this fun way to travel. Be safe!
